The PCE-MFM 3000 is a handheld gauss meter for static (DC) permanent magnet fields and dynamic (AC) electromagnetic fields. It shows readings in gauss (G) or milli Tesla (mT), works with an external handheld sensor and has an RS-232 port for downloading data to a PC.

Use it to check magnetic valves, relays and air-core transformers, and to assess permanent and rare earth magnets made of Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB), Samarium Cobalt (SmCo), Alnico and Ferrite (also known as ceramic). The small, flat sensor tip reaches through gaps into tiny spaces and measures through casings, coverings and housings, so parts do not have to be dismantled. ISO lab calibration is available.
