The PCE-MMK 1 is a portable digital moisture meter for wood, paper, textiles, concrete and other building materials. It also measures ambient temperature and relative humidity. It works on the electrical resistance principle.
It is used for quality control and incoming goods inspection. It comes with short and long insertion needles and 3 external electrodes: ramming, penetrating and paper. The menu offers a self-test and preset modes by material type. It also offers temperature compensation, max/min values, backlight and a dry-moist-wet indicator. The display shows digital and bar graph values. Moisture is shown relative to dry mass (e.g. 100 % material moisture for 1 kg of wet wood = 500 g water).
