The PCE-MPC 30 is a portable dust monitor. It counts particles in the sizes 0.3, 2.5 and 10 µm and measures PM 2.5 and PM 10 mass concentration, i.e. the weight of the particles in one cubic metre of air.

It also measures formaldehyde (HCHO) in ppm and shows temperature, relative humidity and dew point during the HCHO measurement. All readings are stored on an SD card for analysis after the measurement. The 2.8" colour display and the internal battery make the meter suitable for mobile use on site.

Dust Meters

Dust meters (or particle counters) are air quality monitoring instruments that detect the concentration of suspended particles (Particulate Matter - PM). Their operation is usually based on laser scattering (laser scattering) technology, where a beam of light strikes the particles and the sensor calculates their size and quantity.

  • Particle Categories:PM2.5: Fine particles (up to 2.5 μm) that penetrate deep into the lungs and the bloodstream.PM10: Particles (up to 10 μm) such as dust, pollen, and mold.
  • Applications:Industry: Dust control in carpentry workshops, cement plants, and mines to protect workers.Cleanrooms (Cleanrooms): Certification of pharmaceutical or electronics production areas.Environment: Monitoring of air pollution and "smog" in cities.
  • Features: They include a data recording function (data logging), audible limit-exceedance alerts, and often also measure temperature and humidity in parallel.
