The PCE-PQC 15EU is a portable particle counter. It measures the concentration of airborne particles such as dust, soot, pollen and other aerosols, from 0.5 to 75 μm, on up to 6 parallel measuring channels. A temperature and humidity sensor is included.

The meter runs in real-time, cumulative, differential and mass concentration modes and shows the results on the colour touch display. Readings are held in internal memory and reported to ISO 14644-1, EU GMP Annex I and FS 209E, with mass concentration extrapolated in μg/m³. Data is transferred via USB, or optional Ethernet or WiFi.

Dust Meters

Dust meters (or particle counters) are air quality monitoring instruments that detect the concentration of suspended particles (Particulate Matter - PM). Their operation is usually based on laser scattering (laser scattering) technology, where a beam of light strikes the particles and the sensor calculates their size and quantity.

  • Particle Categories:PM2.5: Fine particles (up to 2.5 μm) that penetrate deep into the lungs and the bloodstream.PM10: Particles (up to 10 μm) such as dust, pollen, and mold.
  • Applications:Industry: Dust control in carpentry workshops, cement plants, and mines to protect workers.Cleanrooms (Cleanrooms): Certification of pharmaceutical or electronics production areas.Environment: Monitoring of air pollution and "smog" in cities.
  • Features: They include a data recording function (data logging), audible limit-exceedance alerts, and often also measure temperature and humidity in parallel.
