The PCE-PTR 200N is a hand-held force gage for tensile and compressive force measurement up to 200 N (45 lbs). It reads in N, kg and lb. Five screw-on adapters are supplied for different surfaces: flat head, hook, ball head, chisel head and notched head. The hook adapter is used for pulling force. A 65 mm (2.6 inch) extension rod reaches awkward measuring points.
A thread on the rear of the housing takes a test stand when reproducible results are needed. Typical uses are laboratory tests and incoming goods inspection. Readings are transferred over USB to the downloadable evaluation software. Note: exceeding the overload range destroys the internal load cell.
