The PCE-RCM 05 is a PM2.5 particulate monitor for continuous dust measurement in the workplace. It shows PM2.5, temperature and humidity on the display. The measuring range is 0 ... 500 µg/m³ PM2.5. Pictograms below the large PM2.5 reading give a quick indication of air quality.

The monitor runs on a rechargeable battery. The illuminated LC display stays readable from any angle, for example with the meter on a desk. The backlight is white in normal operation and switches to red in the event of an alarm.

Dust Meters

Dust meters (or particle counters) are air quality monitoring instruments that detect the concentration of suspended particles (Particulate Matter - PM). Their operation is usually based on laser scattering (laser scattering) technology, where a beam of light strikes the particles and the sensor calculates their size and quantity.

  • Particle Categories:PM2.5: Fine particles (up to 2.5 μm) that penetrate deep into the lungs and the bloodstream.PM10: Particles (up to 10 μm) such as dust, pollen, and mold.
  • Applications:Industry: Dust control in carpentry workshops, cement plants, and mines to protect workers.Cleanrooms (Cleanrooms): Certification of pharmaceutical or electronics production areas.Environment: Monitoring of air pollution and "smog" in cities.
  • Features: They include a data recording function (data logging), audible limit-exceedance alerts, and often also measure temperature and humidity in parallel.
