The PCE-RCM 10 is a portable particle counter used to monitor particulate matter (PM) concentrations in air and assess indoor air quality (IAQ). The particle counter also measures air temperature and relative humidity (RH) and is powered by either the built-in rechargeable battery or the USB port, through which the battery is also recharged. On a full charge, the battery provides up to 5 hours of continuous operation or unlimited operation with USB power. The meter displays all readings simultaneously on the device's 2.4" color LCD display. Peak PM values are displayed in green, yellow, gold, orange, pink and red. Through this visualization of concentration levels, it is easy for the user to determine when the concentration is dangerous and act accordingly.
Since the PCE-RCM 10 particle counter monitors PM 2.5 and PM 10 particles, the device has many practical applications in health and safety industries. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technicians use PM 2.5 and PM 10 particle counters for HVAC and filtration system performance checks.
