The simple design and absolutely simple operation make it possible for the professional to use the adhesion tester as an instrument for everyday adhesion testing. By using fast curing adhesive, the tests can be performed by the user in the shortest possible time.
The pull-off adhesion tester is designed to measure the adhesion value of paints and other coatings on surfaces and between layers or cohesive materials. The tensile adhesion tester is manufactured according to EN13144 and ISO 4624 standards.
Preparation for use
- Clean the surface of the measuring sensor and the surface where you want to place the sensor, for example, using fine sandpaper.
- Prepare the epoxy glue according to the instructions on the package and mix it well.
- If you are using one component super glue, open the tube.
- Apply the adhesive to the surface and place the measuring sensor on the surface covered with adhesive, as detailed in the package.
- Use the cutter to lightly scratch the area around the measurement sensor.
Mode
- Turn the top knob of the traction gauge counterclockwise to release the detent and spring.
- Now screw the adhesion gauge (thread on the bottom) to the sensor until the device reaches the surface to be tested.
- Turn the top knob clockwise until the measuring head is released from the test surface. You can read the peel force from scale 1 or 2, depending on the measuring sensor used.
- If the measuring probe is not separated from the surface, turn the knob counterclockwise to release the spring mechanism and remove the device from the measuring probe.
- Separate the measuring head from the surface, using a chisel and hammer.
- If the measurement sensor has separated from the surface, unscrew it from the device using the wrench.
- Clean any glue and paint residues or debris from the surface of the measurement sensor.
