The PCE-TUM 50 is a portable turbidity meter that measures to ISO 7027 with a 90° measuring angle. It reads up to 2000 NTU and switches between NTU, EBC (European Brewery Convention) and ASBC (American Society of Brewing Chemists). Typical uses are drinking water, waste water and food and beverage checks; in EBC mode it helps judge beer and wort.
Calibration standards are supplied and calibration runs at 7 preset points or user-defined points. Readings show on the colour graphic display. The meter runs from the 220V AC power adapter for laboratory use. The rear USB port connects it to a computer and clears the memory.
