The PCE-VTS 50 is a motorised vertical test stand for tensile and compression tests up to 500 N. A built-in stepper motor sets the travel speed from 1 to 500 mm/min in 1 mm/min steps, and both speed and travel are shown on the display. The 270 mm travel takes test specimens, clamping devices and measuring systems of many sizes.

In automatic mode the stand runs until the operator stops it or a limit switch is reached; in manual mode it moves only while the key is pressed. The adjustable limit switches restrict the travel path and protect the force gauge from overload. PCE force gauges connect to the stand, and different chucks are available as options.
