The PCE-WSB 1 is a portable, battery-powered whiteness meter for paper, cardboard, cellulose, pulp, textiles, paint, enamel, plastic, porcelain, cement, concrete, building materials, chemicals, powders, talc, starch, flour, salt, detergents, cosmetics and other non-metal materials.

It measures the intensity of diffusely reflected light on a scale of 100; an absolutely black surface is defined as 1. Readings are shown on the LCD. Use the meter on flat surfaces. Black, white and brilliance standards are supplied, so you can recalibrate the meter yourself for accurate, repeatable results.

Colorimeters

The colorimeters are specialized measuring instruments that determine the absorption of specific wavelengths of light by a solution. They are based on the Beer-Lambert law to correlate color intensity with the concentration of a substance, enabling the objective analysis of color parameters that the human eye cannot quantify accurately.
