Material 18Cr-9Ni (1.4301 / AISI 304) — Austenitic Stainless Steel
DIN 1.4301 corresponds to AISI 304 (commercially known as 18/8 or 18/10) — the most widespread austenitic stainless steel worldwide.
Why choose INOX 304:
It is the first choice when the shims must withstand corrosion. Suitable for humid atmospheres, outdoor use or chemical environments. It is suitable for food contact (food-grade) and remains non-magnetic in the annealed condition.
Typical Chemical Composition:
- C: ≤ 0,07%
- Cr: 17,5–19,5%
- Ni: 8,0–10,5%
- Mn: ≤ 2,0%
- Si: ≤ 1,0%
Properties:
- Tensile strength: 500–700 N/mm²
- Excellent corrosion resistance
- Non-magnetic (in the annealed condition)
- Food-grade
