The PCE-228S is a handheld pH meter for soil, measuring pH, redox (ORP) and temperature. Its PCE-PH-ES electrode works in loosened soil: push the tip into the ground and read the pH on the large LCD. Temperature compensation is manual or automatic with the supplied sensor. The soil must hold a minimum residual moisture.
Data is stored on the SD card (1 ... 16 GB) as Excel files; RS-232 and optional software transfer readings to a PC. For soils and substrates, greenhouse irrigation solutions, agricultural produce and plants. Factory calibrated; recalibrate with the supplied buffer solutions. Calibration data stays stored after a battery change. For DIN measurements or hard soil, prepare a DIN soil solution.
