The PCE-5890 is a handheld honey refractometer. It measures % Brix (sucrose or sugar content), % water content and degrees Baumé (density). A triple scale shows all three values at the same time.

The focusing eyepiece runs smoothly and the scale is easy to read against a semi-transparent blue and clear background. Ambient room light is enough to read the result. Typical users are beekeepers, honey producers and food processing plants.
