The PCE-CT 5000H is a coating thickness gauge for non-destructive measurement of coating and dry film thickness (DFT) on ferrous (Type F) and non-ferrous (Type N) metals such as steel and aluminium. It uses magnetic induction on ferrous substrates and eddy current on non-ferrous ones. It detects the substrate type automatically.
Typical uses are painted and powder-coated surfaces, automotive paint inspection, coated material testing and production quality control. You can set alarm limits. If a reading is too thick or too thin, a message appears on the display. An ISO calibration certificate is available separately (see accessories).
