PCE-CT 5000H Coating Thickness Gauge /
Non-destructive coating and dry film thickness tester (DFT) for use on ferrous (Type F) and non-ferrous (Type N) metal substrates
The PCE-CT 5000H is a coating thickness gauge used for the rapid determination of coating on ferrous (Type F) and non-ferrous (Type N) metals. The caliper automatically detects the type of metal to be measured and uses magnetic induction (ferrous) or eddy current (non-ferrous) to take non-destructive measurements of coating and dry film thickness (DFT) on metallic substrates such as steel and aluminum.
This thickness gauge is ideal for testing painted and powder coated surfaces, automotive paint inspection, coated material testing and manufacturing quality control applications. Alarm limits can be set on the gauge to alert the user when a coating is too thick or too thin. If a thickness measurement is outside the specified limits, a message appears on the screen alerting the user.
