Non-destructive coating thickness and dry film thickness (DFT) measuring device for use on ferrous (Type F) and non-ferrous (Type N) metal substrates
The PCE-CT 5000H is a coating thickness measuring instrument used for the rapid determination of coating on ferrous (Type F) and non-ferrous (Type N) metals. The Caliper automatically detects the type of metal to be measured and uses magnetic induction (ferrous) or eddy current (non-ferrous) to take non-destructive measurements of the coating and dry film thickness (DFT) on metal substrates such as steel and aluminum.
This thickness meter is ideal for testing painted surfaces and powder-coated surfaces, car paint inspection, coated material testing, and quality control applications during manufacturing. Alarm limits can be set on the meter to notify the user when a coating is too thick or too thin. If a thickness measurement is outside the specified limits, a message appears on the screen notifying the user.
