The PCE-CSM 1 is a colour meter for quality control. It measures colour in three colour spaces: CIE L*a*b*C*h, CIE L*a*b* and CIE XYZ. A reading can be saved as a reference value, while further readings are stored as samples and compared with it. Besides the colour space coordinates, the display also shows the deviation between the readings.
The meter stores up to 100 reference values and up to 20,000 samples. Measured data is transferred to a PC through the USB interface, and the PC software is included. The 8°/d integrating sphere geometry lights the sample from an 8-degree angle with diffused illumination.
