The PCE-CSM 6 is a high-accuracy colour meter for quality control. It measures in the CIE L*a*b* and CIE L*a*b*C*h colour spaces. You can save a reading as a reference value and record further readings as samples to compare against it. The display shows the colour coordinates and the deviation from the reference.

The meter stores up to 100 reference values and up to 20,000 samples. Data is transferred to a PC via USB, and PC software is included. It has a Ø8 mm measuring aperture, a D65 light source, white calibration and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

Colorimeters

The colorimeters are specialized measuring instruments that determine the absorption of specific wavelengths of light by a solution. They are based on the Beer-Lambert law to correlate color intensity with the concentration of a substance, enabling the objective analysis of color parameters that the human eye cannot quantify accurately.
