The PCE-WNM 100 brightness tester measures the whiteness of flat surfaces and powders. A light source and an optical measuring system read the reflected light and calculate whiteness to ISO R457 (ISO 2469). Typical samples are textile prints, dyes, building materials, cardboard, paper and plastics.

After an initial calibration on the supplied white standard, the meter is ready for use. It stores up to 245 readings and connects to a PC via the serial interface for live logging of the measured values.

Colorimeters

The colorimeters are specialized measuring instruments that determine the absorption of specific wavelengths of light by a solution. They are based on the Beer-Lambert law to correlate color intensity with the concentration of a substance, enabling the objective analysis of color parameters that the human eye cannot quantify accurately.
