The PCE-PQC 20EU is a portable air particle counter from the PCE-PQC 2xEU series. It counts airborne particles in six sizes and also measures air temperature and relative humidity. Its fixed flow rate of 2.83 l/min complies with ISO 21501-4 and JIS B9921. Typical uses include monitoring and inspecting clean rooms, filter systems in operating theatres and bottling plants in the pharmaceutical industry.

The internal memory holds up to 45000 data sets. Each set contains the measurement parameters, temperature and humidity readings, location and timestamp. An optional printer prints results directly. The supplied software reads out and processes stored data via Ethernet, USB or optional Wifi.

Dust Meters

Dust meters (or particle counters) are air quality monitoring instruments that detect the concentration of suspended particles (Particulate Matter - PM). Their operation is usually based on laser scattering (laser scattering) technology, where a beam of light strikes the particles and the sensor calculates their size and quantity.

  • Particle Categories:PM2.5: Fine particles (up to 2.5 μm) that penetrate deep into the lungs and the bloodstream.PM10: Particles (up to 10 μm) such as dust, pollen, and mold.
  • Applications:Industry: Dust control in carpentry workshops, cement plants, and mines to protect workers.Cleanrooms (Cleanrooms): Certification of pharmaceutical or electronics production areas.Environment: Monitoring of air pollution and "smog" in cities.
  • Features: They include a data recording function (data logging), audible limit-exceedance alerts, and often also measure temperature and humidity in parallel.
