Thread gauge for measuring thread on screws or threaded holes. The thread gauge measures - checks the distance between the thread teeth, usually measured in millimeters (mm) or threads per inch (TPI). 

We have thread gauges for all threads: Metric M, fine pitch MF, inches BSW, BSF, UNC, UNF, UNEF, BSP pipe, etc.

Simply match the threads on any screw or bolt with the tip of the thread gauge; if the threads align perfectly, you have correctly identified the thread pitch as shown in the diagram below.
