The PCE-TG 300-P5EE is an ultrasonic thickness gauge with special sensors for various applications. A 90° angled sensor also allows measurements in hard-to-reach measuring points. The sound velocity can be freely adjusted on the thickness gauge and thus adapted to a wide variety of homogeneous materials.

The measured values are displayed directly on the easy-to-read color TFT display. Due to the internal memory, which can be read via the optionally available software, 100 data sets with 100 measurements each can be stored. The non-destructive ultrasonic measurement method allows measurement even on finished products. Thanks to the Echo-Echo function, even coated surfaces can be measured.

- Large measuring range
- Various sensors available
- Battery operation
- Error and gap detection
- Internal measurement data memory
- Bluetooth printing

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges

Ultrasonic thickness gauges are non-destructive testing (NDT) instruments that measure the thickness of materials with access from only one side. They operate by emitting high-frequency sound waves, which travel through the material, reflect off the back surface, and return to the sensor, calculating thickness based on the speed of sound propagation.

  • Applications: Ideal for measuring corrosion in piping, fuel tanks, ship hulls, and metal structures without interrupting their operation.
  • Materials: Suitable for metals, plastics, glass, ceramics, and composite materials, provided there is good sound conductivity.
  • Features: They include Echo-to-Echo functions for measurement through paint and automatic compensation for different material temperatures.
