The PCE-018 is a handheld pocket Brix refractometer for the sucrose (sugar) content of low-concentration translucent liquids such as fruit and vegetable juices, maple sap and industrial coolants. It covers 0 ... 18 % Brix with 0,1 % resolution and ±0.1 % accuracy.

The focusing eyepiece shows an easy-to-read scale on a semi-transparent blue and fully transparent clear background, and ambient room lighting is enough to read the result. Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) holds accuracy between 10 ... 30 °C, so no recalibration is needed after a change in operating temperature. The instrument measures 172 x 20 mm and weighs 260 g.
