The PCE-VT 3950S is a handheld accelerometer for checking vibrating parts, machines and systems. With its external sensor it measures vibration displacement (0.000 ... 3.9 mm), vibration velocity (0.00 ... 399.9 mm/s) and vibration acceleration (0.0 ... 399.9 m/s²). Measurement parameters include RMS, peak, peak-peak and crest factor. A dedicated mode rates readings automatically against the ISO 10816-3 limits and shows a good/bad result on the display.

Besides normal measurement, an FFT mode calculates the frequency spectrum of vibration velocity or acceleration and shows it as a full-band graph plus a zoom view of individual lines. Route measurement handles repeat readings at the same points, so it suits machine maintenance and repair. Readings are saved in the internal memory and sent to a PC over micro-USB. The software analyses the data as graphs and tables, exports CSV and updates the firmware. The 2500 mAh battery charges via the micro-USB port.
