  • External vibration sensor
  • Automatic ISO 10816-3 evaluation
  • Up to 20 h runtime
  • Internal memory, CSV export
  • Optional ISO factory certification

The PCE-VT 3800S is a hand-held vibration analyser with an external sensor. It measures vibration displacement up to 3.9 mm, vibration velocity up to 399.9 mm/s and vibration acceleration up to 399.9 m/s². Measurement parameters are RMS, peak, peak-to-peak and crest factor. Automatic evaluation to ISO 10816-3 gives a good/bad assessment of the current machine condition, for example for repair and maintenance work on machines.

Readings are saved manually or automatically in the internal memory and read out on a PC via micro USB. The software displays the data as graphs or tables, exports CSV files and installs firmware updates. The 2500 mAh LiPo battery runs up to 20 hours and charges via micro-USB.

From our Wiki

Vibration Meters

Vibration meters (vibration meters) are predictive maintenance instruments that record mechanical vibrations in rotating machinery. They are used for early fault diagnosis by analyzing acceleration, velocity, and displacement, enabling the identification of problems before they lead to catastrophic failure or production downtime.

  • Analysis Parameters: They measure vibration magnitude (RMS) and peak (Peak), while advanced models perform frequency analysis FFT.
  • Applications: Ideal for checking motors, pumps, fans, and bearings in industrial facilities.
  • Diagnostic Value: They help identify imbalance (unbalance), misalignment, component looseness, and wear of rolling elements.
