  • Displacement, velocity and acceleration
  • Automatic ISO 10816-3 evaluation
  • Internal memory plus PC software
  • Up to 20 h runtime
  • External sensor with magnetic adapter

The PCE-VT 3850 is a hand-held vibration meter with an external sensor. It measures vibration displacement up to 3.9 mm, vibration velocity up to 399.9 mm/s and vibration acceleration up to 399.9 m/s². Measurement parameters are RMS, peak, peak-to-peak and crest factor. Automatic evaluation to ISO 10816-3 gives a good/bad rating of the current machine condition, so the meter suits repair and maintenance work on vibrating parts, machines and plant.

Readings are stored in internal memory, manually or automatically, and read out on a PC via micro USB. The software shows the data as graphs and tables, exports CSV files and installs firmware updates. The 2500 mAh LiPo battery runs for up to 20 hours and recharges through the micro-USB port. Several menu languages, headset included, ISO factory certification optional.

From our Wiki

Vibration Meters

Vibration meters (vibration meters) are predictive maintenance instruments that record mechanical vibrations in rotating machinery. They are used for early fault diagnosis by analyzing acceleration, velocity, and displacement, enabling the identification of problems before they lead to catastrophic failure or production downtime.

  • Analysis Parameters: They measure vibration magnitude (RMS) and peak (Peak), while advanced models perform frequency analysis FFT.
  • Applications: Ideal for checking motors, pumps, fans, and bearings in industrial facilities.
  • Diagnostic Value: They help identify imbalance (unbalance), misalignment, component looseness, and wear of rolling elements.
