The PCE-VT 3950 vibration meter measures vibration displacement (0.000 ... 3.9 mm), velocity (0.00 ... 399.9 mm/s) and acceleration (0.0 ... 399.9 m/s²) with an external sensor. Measurement parameters are RMS, peak, peak-peak and crest factor. An ISO 10816-3 mode rates the reading automatically as good or bad.

FFT mode shows the frequency spectrum of velocity or acceleration, both as a full-band view and as a zoom view of single lines. Route measurement covers repeated readings at identical points during machine maintenance and repair. Data is stored in the internal memory and transferred to a PC over micro-USB. The software analyses readings in graphs and tables, exports CSV files and updates the firmware. The 2500 mAh battery charges through the micro-USB port.
