The PCE-LT 15 LAN tester is a device that detects faults in network installations and can also be used as a multimeter for measuring DC and AC voltage. With the PCE-LT 15 LAN tester, it is possible to check 8-pin data cables with RJ-45 sockets for continuity, open connections, and short circuits. For continuity testing, a buzzer is used as it also provides diode test capability.
During measurement, the two-row LED lights sequentially indicate the pin assignment of the cable under test. In case of a short circuit, more than two lights illuminate simultaneously.
