To determine the moisture content of a material with the PCE-MA 110TS moisture analyzer, a sample is placed in the sample pan. Then, the sample pan is placed inside the drying chamber and sealed. After setting all parameters, the measurement starts. The weighing accuracy is ±0.003 g and the moisture measurement range is 0 … 100%. Therefore, the moisture analyzer is a precise device for measuring moisture content. The moisture analyzer operates via the 5" touchscreen.
Based on the gravimetric method, the moisture analyzer determines moisture content by the measured weight difference, based on the weight before and after drying the sample. A specific drying temperature (40 ... 165 °C / 104 ... 329 °F) can therefore be selected by the operator for the sample under study each time, achieved through an integrated halogen lamp with a diameter of 90 mm / 3.5".
Due to the sample drying process, the moisture analyzer is widely used in laboratories for measuring moisture in various powders, in final quality control to determine grain moisture, or in the agricultural sector to determine the moisture content of oats, cereals, etc.
After each drying cycle, a measurement curve is created with all necessary parameters, providing a complete analysis of each sample. The measured values can be transferred to a computer and further analyzed via RS-232 Modbus.
