To determine the moisture content of a material with the PCE-MA 110TS thermobalance, a sample is placed in the sample pan. The sample tray is then placed inside the drying chamber and sealed. After setting all the parameters, the measurement starts. The weighing accuracy is ±0.003 g and the moisture measurement range is 0 … 100%. Therefore, the thermobalance is an accurate device for measuring moisture content. The thermometer works via the 5" touch screen.
Based on the gravimetric method, the thermobalance determines the moisture content through the measured weight difference, based on the weight before and after drying the sample. A specific drying temperature (40 ... 165 °C / 104 ... 329 °F ) can therefore be selected by the operator for the sample being studied each time, where it is achieved by means of an integrated halogen lamp with a diameter of 90 mm / 3, 5".
Due to the drying process of the sample, the thermobalance is widely used in laboratories to measure the moisture of different powders, in the final quality control to determine the grain moisture, or in the agricultural field to determine the moisture content of oats, grains, etc. .
After each drying cycle, a measurement curve is created with all the necessary parameters, which constitute a complete analysis of each sample. Measured values can be transferred to a computer and further analyzed via RS-232 Modbus.
