The PCE-PH20S is a soil pH meter with an external pH electrode on a 1 m cable. It measures the pH of soil directly or of a soil sample: loosen the soil, insert the electrode and read the value on the LCD. The soil must be moist for the first measurement.

The meter is factory calibrated and can be recalibrated at any time with the supplied solutions; the calibration data is kept when the batteries are changed. For measurements to DIN, or when the soil is too hard to penetrate, prepare a DIN soil solution and measure in it. Insert the probe carefully so it does not break.
