BaerCoil® wire thread inserts provide a long-lasting, powerful connection and scrap recovery in the thread repair. They also create load-bearing connections in materials with low shear strength. Precise and wear-resistant, the inserts hold your screw firmly in place without deforming the thread insert. Ideal for repairing damaged or worn threads. wire thread inserts are often used in fields such as automotive, electrical engineering, medical technology or lightweight construction as well as in aerospace.
BaerCoil® thread inserts are the perfect solution for damaged threads. The damaged thread is drilled out and a new STI thread (screw thread insert) is cut for the wire thread insert. This thread is often also called STI thread (STI = Screw Thread Insert). Then the BaerCoil® thread insert is screwed into the old thread, allowing the workpieces to be screwed on again. With BaerCoil® thread inserts, the resulting thread is significantly more stable than the original.
BaerCoil® thread inserts ensure that both static and dynamic loads are evenly distributed across the individual thread turns. Additionally, the flexibility of the ® thread inserts compensates for any pitch and angular errors, achieving optimal force transmission from the bolt to the nut thread.
BaerCoil® thread inserts can be shortened to the required length using a side cutter or similar tool.
