The PCE-010 is a handheld refractometer for measuring % Brix (sucrose or sugar content) in low-concentration translucent liquids. Typical samples are fruit and vegetable juices, maple sap and industrial coolants.

The ultra-smooth focusing eyepiece shows an easy-to-read scale on a semi-transparent blue and fully transparent clear background. Ambient room lighting is enough to read the result. Automatic temperature compensation (ATC) works from 10 to 30 °C, so no recalibration is needed after a change in operating temperature.
