PCE-779N infrared thermometer
 for surface temperature measurement /
Thermocouple measurement / Adjustable emissivity coefficient (Emissivity)/
Difference measurement function D /
Tripod thread / MIN, MAX and alarm function / LED light

The PCE-779N infrared thermometer can be used for quick temperature measurements. This can be done in two different ways: either non-contact or via thermocouple. The thermometer is suitable for almost all surfaces. Since the infrared thermometer allows non-contact measurement, even high temperatures can be measured from a safe distance. Through the built-in dual laser of the PCE-779N, the user can target the measurement point with high accuracy.

The thermometer has a variety of functions, including MAX and MIN functions as well as average and difference value functions, making the infrared thermometer useful for many applications, including contact and non-contact measurements. The PCE-779N is commonly used for various hygiene-related inspections, road construction, production monitoring, as well as engine temperature measurement.

- Dual laser for targeting
- Additional thermocouple measurement
- Easy handling
- Large display
- Difference value measurement
- Average measurement
- MIN / MAX value measurement
- Alarm function

Infrared Thermometers

The infrared thermometers, also known as laser thermometers, allow measuring the temperature of a surface from a distance, without physical contact. They operate by detecting the infrared radiation emitted by any object and converting it into a digital temperature reading in fractions of a second.

  • Optical Ratio (D:S): A critical feature is the distance-to-spot ratio (e.g. 12:1). This means that at a distance of 12 centimeters, the instrument measures a circular area with a diameter of 1 centimeter.
  • Emissivity Coefficient (Emissivity): Accuracy depends on the material’s ability to emit energy. Advanced models allow adjustment of the coefficient $\epsilon$ for correct measurements on metals, plastics, or organic materials.
  • Applications:Industry: Checking hot spots in electrical panels, motors, and bearings.Food: Temperature monitoring in refrigerators or production lines without risk of contamination.HVAC: Detecting heat loss in piping and insulation.
