The PCE-CSM 4 is a portable colour meter for measuring the colour of various objects. It uses 45/0 geometry with a Ø 20 mm measuring aperture and works in the CIEL*a*b*C*h, CIEL a*b* and CIEXYZ colour spaces. White or black calibration is selectable. It analyses black, white, red, green, yellow and blue.
Typical uses are quality control in dental technology, paint production and plastic bag manufacture. Only the sensor part is placed on the sample, not the whole device, so damp objects, textiles and food such as meat, bananas or tomatoes can be measured. The included CQCS3 software reads the stored data out to a computer or laptop.
