The coating thickness measuring device is used for the quick and accurate detection of the thickness of coatings on metal surfaces. Compared to many other paint thickness gauges, this coating thickness measuring device does not need to differentiate between ferrous and non-ferrous metals. With the small and compact design of the device, one-handed operation is possible. The coating thickness measuring device has a measuring range of 1500 μm and an accuracy of ± (3% + 1 μm).
The user can select the measurement unit (μm, mm, mils). In addition to the coating thickness, the gauge measures the smallest, largest, and also the average value from a series of different measurements. The device switches off automatically.

Coating Thickness Gauges

The coating thickness gauges (coating thickness gauges) are non-destructive testing instruments that measure the thickness of layers such as paint, varnish, or galvanizing on metal surfaces. Their operation is based on the principles of magnetic induction (for ferrous substrates) and eddy currents (eddy currents) for non-ferrous metals such as aluminum.
