The PCE-DRB 1 is a handheld digital Brix refractometer for measuring the sugar content and refractive index of liquids. The measuring range is 0 ... 90 % Brix / 1.3330 ... 1.5177 nD, with automatic temperature compensation from +10 ... +40 °C / +50 ... +104 °F. A large LCD shows the measured value and the temperature.

It measures sucrose as % by weight in beverages, wine, juices and syrups, and suits laboratory, production and home use. In winemaking it is used on grape must, and on the finished wine to determine dry matter and alcohol content. Close the lid before measuring.
