The PCE-DRH 1 is a portable digital refractometer used to determine sugar content, water content, Baumé degrees (Bé°), refractive index of honey with corresponding measurement ranges 0 ... 90 % Brix , 5 .. .38% water, 33 ... 48 Bé° and 1.3330 ... 1.5177 nD. The waterproof refractometer with sealing class IP65 has automatic temperature compensation (ATC) from +10 ... +40 °C / +50 ... +104 °F, as well as a large, easy-to-read LCD display that simultaneously displays the measured value and the temperature.
Due to automatic temperature compensation, the device can be used under changing temperature conditions and does not need to be recalibrated every time the temperature changes. In addition, when measuring the refractive index, the temperature is completely compensated. For proper operation of the device, careful handling is recommended, which includes cleaning and avoiding shocks and extreme vibrations.
