A waterproof digital refractometer for determining salinity
in % and ‰ percentages, specific gravity, refractive index, chloride content
The PCE-DRS 2 digital salinity refractometer is specifically designed to perform accurate analysis of aqueous solutions. Thus, the user can perform simple quality checks and determine, for example, the percentage of sodium chloride in liquids or the salt content in aquariums.
Thanks to the built-in light source, the measurement result is quickly and accurately displayed on the salinity refractometer's large, easy-to-read LC display after automatic temperature compensation (10 to 40 °C) compared to analog refractometers that require an external light source to get an accurate measurement. In addition, the display provides information on the measured liquid temperature.
The glass prism of the refractometer enclosed in the stainless steel tray can be cleaned quickly and easily before and after the measurement. The prism has a cover, which protects it from damage. The refractometer automatically turns off after one minute of inactivity to save battery .
