  • PM2.5 and PM10 mass concentration
  • Particle sizes 0.3, 2.5, 10 µm
  • 5,000 data sets, SD card
  • Mini-USB interface
  • Approx. 4 h battery operation

The PCE-MPC 20 is a handheld particle counter for airborne dust. It counts particles at 0.3, 2.5 and 10 μm and measures PM2.5 and PM10 mass concentration. It also measures temperature, humidity and dew point. A built-in high-performance pump provides the required flow rate.

Readings are shown directly on the display and can be stored for analysis after a measurement run. Battery operation gives about 4 hours of mobile continuous use. Typical applications are fine dust checks around incineration, manufacturing, energy production, vehicle engine emissions and construction sites.

Dust Meters

Dust meters (or particle counters) are air quality monitoring instruments that detect the concentration of suspended particles (Particulate Matter - PM). Their operation is usually based on laser scattering (laser scattering) technology, where a beam of light strikes the particles and the sensor calculates their size and quantity.

  • Particle Categories:PM2.5: Fine particles (up to 2.5 μm) that penetrate deep into the lungs and the bloodstream.PM10: Particles (up to 10 μm) such as dust, pollen, and mold.
  • Applications:Industry: Dust control in carpentry workshops, cement plants, and mines to protect workers.Cleanrooms (Cleanrooms): Certification of pharmaceutical or electronics production areas.Environment: Monitoring of air pollution and "smog" in cities.
  • Features: They include a data recording function (data logging), audible limit-exceedance alerts, and often also measure temperature and humidity in parallel.
