The PCE-Oe is a portable refractometer used by winemakers to determine the sugar content of unfermented grape juice to predict the alcohol content of wine. This portable pocket refractometer features a triple scale that allows the user to see all three readings at once.

The excellent quality focusing eyepiece provides the image of an easy-to-read scale on a blue and fully transparent clear background. Ambient lighting provides ample illumination for clear reading of results.

The Oechsle scale is a scale that measures the density of grape must, which is an indication of the ripeness of the grapes and the sugar content used in winemaking.
