The PCE-S 42 is designed for listening to individual machine components such as bearings and engines, allowing maintenance and repair work to be carried out before a major failure occurs. The PCE-S 42 comes with headphones, the shape of which adapts to the user's head and is thus suitable for use in noisy environments. The padding of the headphones results in suppression of ambient noise while also providing comfort during use.
The meter is most often used to amplify impact and friction noises of components in order to prevent damage.

Vibration Meters

Vibration meters (vibration meters) are predictive maintenance instruments that record mechanical vibrations in rotating machinery. They are used for early fault diagnosis by analyzing acceleration, velocity, and displacement, enabling the identification of problems before they lead to catastrophic failure or production downtime.
