Handheld tachometer PCE-T 238
Tachometer for contact and non-contact measurement /
Surface speed verification is also possible /
For speeds up to 99,999 rpm / Battery powered / Independent of rotation direction

The PCE-T 238 tachometer is a battery-operated handheld device that allows mobile use. The handheld tachometer can perform contact measurement with a range up to 19,999 rpm as well as laser measurement with a range up to 99,999 rpm. With contact measurement, the surface speed can also be determined with a range up to 1999.9 rpm. Such measurements can be started directly with the tachometer and do not require extensive preparation.

The tachometer operates independently of the rotation direction. Thus, it is suitable for applications such as machine maintenance. Contactless measurement also makes it possible to check the speed of hard-to-reach components.

- Contactless and laser measurement
- Contact measurement m/min via surface wheel
- Robust ABS plastic housing
- With different rubber measuring tips (cone shape and funnel shape)
- Speed check of hard-to-reach components
- Independent of rotation direction
- Running speed

Tachometers - Speedometers

The tachometers (or speedometers) are measuring instruments that determine the rotational speed of a shaft or a disc, usually in revolutions per minute (RPM). They are critical tools for ensuring the correct operation of engines and machinery, allowing technicians to identify deviations from the nominal operating specifications.

  • Types: They are classified into optical (Laser) for non-contact measurements from a distance and contact, which use wheels or cones for direct measurement.
  • Functions: Many modern models are combined (Dual), offering the ability to measure linear speed as well (e.g. m/min) on conveyor belts.
  • Applications: They are widely used in industrial equipment maintenance, the automotive industry, shipping, and the inspection of ventilation systems.
