The PCE-VDL 24I is a compact 3-axis accelerometer data logger with a 1600 Hz sampling rate. It records shock and vibration at selectable intervals and stores the data on a 32 GB memory card. It mounts almost anywhere. Typical uses are fault diagnosis, component stress tests, machine inspection, shock measurement and preventive maintenance in industry and transport.

On machines, motors or generators it shows resonances during run-up and run-down, and the axis with the largest amplitudes. This helps when designing damping systems. On moving objects it also records small changes in position and tilt, using gravity as a reference. At 1600 Hz it resolves events of around 0.4 ms.

Vibration Meters

Vibration meters (vibration meters) are predictive maintenance instruments that record mechanical vibrations in rotating machinery.
