The PCE-430 class I sound level meter meets all requirements of standards and guidelines ( IEC 60651:1979, IEC 60804:2000, IEC 61672-1:2013, ANSI S1.4-1983 and ANSI S1.43-1997). The meter's large illuminated display displays the sound pressure level (SPL) numerically and graphically in real time. At the same time as a spectrum analyzer, the frequency of the sound is displayed on the screen and this is done thanks to the 1/1 octave band function, which detects even the slightest difference in frequency.
It can also function as a recorder for up to 24h by saving the data on a micro SD card. The meter can also be connected to the computer via the USB port and comes with software for further data processing. The Impulse function of the PCE-430 enables the measurement of a very short sound event. Finally, the built-in octave band filter makes it a sound level meter, giving the sound intensity as a function of frequency. A typical application of the PCE-430 sound level meter is to measure noise in workplaces over an 8-hour period to comply with regulations.
