  • Triaxial vibration and shock meter
  • DIN 4150-3, BS 7385, SN 640312A
  • 100,000-reading internal memory
  • FFT analysis, SMS alarm
  • IP 64, battery powered

The PCE-VM 40C is a triaxial accelerometer for vibration and shock measurement on buildings, bridges, towers and other man-made structures. It measures in accordance with DIN 4150-3, BS 7385 and SN 640312A. The internal memory holds up to 100,000 readings, so the effects of construction sites, traffic or industrial processes on a building can be assessed over long periods.

Recording can be time-based or event-based, for short-time or long-time vibrations. Threshold levels trigger an alarm, and with the optional GSM module the meter sends an SMS. The display shows peak vibration speed in all 3 directions. The NiMH battery allows mobile use on site; a mains adaptor is included.

Vibration Meters

Vibration meters (vibration meters) are predictive maintenance instruments that record mechanical vibrations in rotating machinery. They are used for early fault diagnosis by analyzing acceleration, velocity, and displacement, enabling the identification of problems before they lead to catastrophic failure or production downtime.

  • Analysis Parameters: They measure vibration magnitude (RMS) and peak (Peak), while advanced models perform frequency analysis FFT.
  • Applications: Ideal for checking motors, pumps, fans, and bearings in industrial facilities.
  • Diagnostic Value: They help identify imbalance (unbalance), misalignment, component looseness, and wear of rolling elements.
