  • 4–20 mA analogue output
  • Acceleration, velocity and displacement
  • Magnet-mounted sensor
  • Frequency range 10 Hz–1000 Hz
  • RMS and peak-to-peak measurement
  • Complies with ISO 2954

The PCE-VT 420 is a vibration meter that measures acceleration, velocity and displacement. Ranges are 0.5 to 199.9 m/s², 0.5 to 199.9 mm/s and 0 to 1.999 mm, with resolutions of 0.1 m/s², 0.1 mm/s and 0.001 mm. Accuracy is ±5% + 2 digits. The frequency range is 10 Hz to 1000 Hz, to ISO 2954.

The measured parameter is set with DIP switches, and zero and span are adjustable. The analogue 4–20 mA output feeds existing monitoring systems. Housing IP63, magnet-mounted sensor IP60. Used for condition monitoring, preventive maintenance and continuous process monitoring of motors, pumps, fans and other rotating machinery in production, maintenance and quality assurance.

Vibration Meters

Vibration meters (vibration meters) are predictive maintenance instruments that record mechanical vibrations in rotating machinery. They are used for early fault diagnosis by analyzing acceleration, velocity, and displacement, enabling the identification of problems before they lead to catastrophic failure or production downtime.

  • Analysis Parameters: They measure vibration magnitude (RMS) and peak (Peak), while advanced models perform frequency analysis FFT.
  • Applications: Ideal for checking motors, pumps, fans, and bearings in industrial facilities.
  • Diagnostic Value: They help identify imbalance (unbalance), misalignment, component looseness, and wear of rolling elements.
