The PCE-DMS 310 is a paper scale for measuring basis weight, with the result shown directly in g/m². The range is 0 ... 310 g at 0.01 g resolution, or 0 ... 31,000 g/m² at 1 g/m² resolution. It is used to check the grammage of paper, cardboard and textiles.

Readings can be sent to a PC through the RS-232 interface. The supplied power supply covers bench use, while 3 x 1.5V AA batteries allow mobile use. An optional paper sample cutter provides identical samples for every basis weight measurement.
