The PCE-428 is a class 2 sound level meter that meets the requirements of standards IEC 60651: 1979, IEC 60804: 2000, IEC 61672-1: 2013, ANSI S1.4-1983, and ANSI S1.43-1997. This portable high-precision sound level meter features a large, easy-to-read illuminated LCD display where the sound pressure level (SPL) is shown numerically and graphically in real time. Thanks to the octave band function, even the slightest difference in frequency is detected. At the same time, as a spectrum analyzer, the frequency of the sound is also displayed on the screen, which is made possible by the 1/1 octave band function that detects even the slightest difference in frequency.
The sound level meter also functions as a data logger, recording and storing measurements at adjustable intervals from 1 s ... 24 h on a micro SD memory card. Besides the SD card, the user can transfer data to a computer via the USB port. Finally, the meter comes with software for data processing.
The capabilities of the PCE-428 meter are enhanced by the fact that it is aimed at workplace condition inspectors who must comply with environmental regulations for permissible noise exposure limits in the workplace.
