The PCE-VC21 is a portable shaker calibrator for vibration sensors, meters, analysers and testers. It generates mechanical vibration at 7 quartz-stabilised frequencies from 15.92 to 1280 Hz. It offers 5 amplitudes from 1 to 20 m/s² (RMS), covering acceleration, velocity and displacement. It accepts test items up to 600 g (1.32 lb), and the vibration level does not depend on the load. This makes it suitable for low-frequency sensors in structural vibration meters (DIN 4150-3) and human vibration meters (ISO 8041).

A reference accelerometer and a control circuit in the shaker head keep the vibration level constant. The display shows the error in %, which is the deviation from the target amplitude. When the calibration is correct, the reading settles close to 0.0 %. A buzzer sounds when the error exceeds 3 %, and the unit switches off on overload. Sensors mount by magnet or thread. The supplied adapter takes M3, M5, M8, 1/4"-28 and UNF 10-32 threads. For field and laboratory use, it has a built-in rechargeable battery, a charge indicator, auto power-off, a mains charger and a carrying case.

Vibration Meters
