The changeable thread gauges of the Johs. Boss MultiCheck Digital system are special measuring inserts that allow quick switching between different thread sizes or types without the need for a new instrument. Thanks to the modular design of the system, the inserts can be easily placed in the base and measuring sleeve, offering flexibility, cost reduction and improved productivity in quality control lines and measuring laboratories.

Thread Gauges

The thread gauges (thread gauges) are standard verification tools used to check the accuracy and compatibility of threads on screws and nuts. They are based on the "Go / No-Go" method, ensuring that the thread is within the specified tolerance limits for correct assembly and operation of the components.

  • Types: They are classified into standard rings (ring gauges) for external threads and standard plugs (plug gauges) for internal threads.
  • Applications: Essential in mass production, precision machining, and quality control of fastening components.
  • Standards: Manufactured according to international systems such as Metric (M), Whitworth (BSP) or Unified (UNC/UNF), from hardened high-strength steel.
