The PCE-430 is a portable Class 1 sound level meter. It measures sound pressure level from 22 to 136 dB(A) over 3 Hz to 20 kHz. It meets IEC 60651:1979, IEC 60804:2000, IEC 61672-1:2013, ANSI S1.4-1983 and ANSI S1.43-1997. A 1/1 octave band filter is included, and a 1/3 octave band filter is an optional upgrade. The backlit LCD shows the level as a number and as a real-time graph.
The built-in data logger records at intervals from 1 s to 24 h to a micro SD card. Read the card in a PC or connect the meter via USB. The supplied PC software analyses the data. Typical uses are environmental noise compliance, workplace exposure limits and airport or air base noise monitoring.
